Cherry Blossom Spot

Along the Kako river in Hikami-cho Tamba City, there are rows of approximately, 1,000 cherry trees, spanning over 5 kilometers.
From 1991 to 2000, Hyogo Prefecture developed "the Furusato cherry Blossom Corridor" that connects 50,000 cherry trees along 170km long river from the Seto Inland Sea to Sea of Japan.
The cherry trees that were young at that time have now grown splendidly and entertain visitors during the cherry blossom season in a magnificent scene.
Furthermore, the Kinki Toyooka Expressway between the Hikami Interchange and the Aogaki Interchange is parallel to the Kako River, and is a popular spot where you can drive across the cherry blossom trees.
There is also a section where you can walk under the cherry blossom trees, which is also popular for photography.
