Beautiful MOMIJI Spot

This ancient temple of the Tendai sect was established in 705, and is situated on back of the Tamba mountain range.
The arched stone bridge, Taiko Bashi, over the Shinji-ike pond is believed to connect the worlds of Buddha and human being.
There is a school of hundreds of Nishiki Koi fish swimming in the pond.
This is a great viewing spot for seasonal flowers such as Japanese wisteria, carrot ferns, rosebays, water lilies, and lotus flowers.
